Egbe Residents Sound Alarm as Bandits Now Spray Chemicals to Knock Out Victims Before Kidnapping

They don’t just break in anymore. They spray something first. Then you wake up missing. Egbe residents are terrified after bandits bring scary new trick to Kogi.
Something new and scary is happening in Egbe.
Monday night, around 11 pm. Most people already sleeping. Then it started.
First house – Odorum area. Belongs to one quiet man working at ECWA Hospital. Bandits jump fence. No noise. They carry small bottle. Like perfume, somebody say. But it’s not perfume.
They spray am inside rooms. Through window. Under door. Anywhere air fit pass.
Two minutes. Everybody inside just weak. Legs no gree carry body again. Eyes dey turn. That’s how they pick person like pure water and carry go.
But this time luck shine small. The owner no sleep for him normal room. Him manage press phone, send “Help” to vigilante WhatsApp group. Before him eye close finish.
Vigilante boys jump bike. Reach there less than 15 minutes. Start to shoot for air. Bandits come dey confused. Drop the man. Run enter bush. Empty-handed this time.
Same night, another area near Baba Labourer and Government Secondary School. Same style. Same spray. But vigilante reach again. Gun jam gun. Bandits run again. Zero kidnap that side.
People now dey call the thing “turari of death”. One whiff and you’re gone. No shouting. No fighting. Just wake up inside forest or wake up never.
One woman tell Reportersroom yesterday, “I no fit sleep again. I dey use towel block every small hole for window. My children dey sleep for parlor now, far from window.”
Another man say him don buy like ten torchlight. “If light dey everywhere, maybe them no go near.”
Last week Tuesday for Okoloke, same Yagba West, them kidnap one big timber man and him worker for farm. Shoot gun scatter everywhere. People run. Two no come back.
Egbe people dey praise their vigilante well well. Those boys no get better gun. Some dey use local dane gun sef. But them get liver pass lion. Any small alert, them dey fly reach.
One vigilante man talk small, voice dey shake small: “We dey try. But this chemical own don pass us. If them spray am, even us fit sleep off. We need better mask, better torch, better everything.”
The whole Yagba West and Yagba East near Kwara border don turn hot. Every night people dey do meeting for church or under tree. “Who don see strange face?” “Who hear bike for midnight?”
Mothers no gree send pikin go market again. Farmers dey fear enter farm. Everybody just dey look door every five minutes.
Police don come town two times this week. Talk say them dey investigate. But people say investigation never bring back anybody wey them don carry before.
So for now, Egbe people get new nightly routine:
Lock door
Block window
Put torch for every corner
Charge phone full
Sleep with one eye open
Because the next spray fit land your room tonight.
And nobody wan wake up inside bush.
