Ajose Arilesola CDA isn’t just about meetings and talk. Yesterday—Saturday, December 6, 2025—they threw a bash to celebrate the wins. Hello!, they won big. Power restored. Heroes honoured. Future lit up.

Forget your boring Annual General Meetings. The one that went down in Ajose Arilesola, Agbado Oke-Odo, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, was something else. It was part town hall, part family reunion, and a whole lot of victory lap. The jollof rice was hitting different, the music was playing, and the vibes? Immaculate.

The main man, Chairman Alhaji Alimi Quamorudeen A., stepped up and didn’t waste time. He just started listing the Ws. “That transformer wey don dey spoil life for everybody?” he started, “E don waka. We fixed am with Ikeja Electric.” Mic drop. Almost. He also talked about the new community calendar, how they honoured some great people, and the big installation of the new Baale. But that’s just the gist of 2025.

The real gbedu is for 2026. “Once this rain thing waka-pass,” he promised, “we go fix all the potholes. Drainage go better. Security go tight. And accountability? E go be our middle name.” You could feel the crowd nodding.

Then the General Secretary, Mr. Temitayo Abudu, laid out the master plan. More partnerships with the LCDA, Lagos State, and even private companies. But the thing that made everyone perk up? Solar streetlights. With CCTV. Yes, you heard that right.

One of the awardees, Pastor Fọlọrunsho Olufemi Ojerinde, grabbed the mic. “This solar light project,” he said, “na welcome innovation. Everybody must support am!” He even called out people blocking drainage with their shop extensions. “Oya, make we get discipline,” he pleaded. And to show he wasn’t just talking, he pledged his own money for the project. E be like say the spirit don catch am well well.

The youths weren’t left out. Their leader, Mr. Abudu A. Olalekan, said the young people have been showing up for meetings, security watches, everything. But dem wan more. “We expect jobs,” he said flat out. “And we want to be part of the decisions.” So for 2026, they’re planning skills programs and mentorship. They’re even gonna use Instagram and TikTok to mobilize. Smart move.

The Baale himself, Chief Taiwo Arilesola, was beaming. He said the community is peaceful, united, and just moving. “Our name dey sound for media pass before,” he said with a proud smile. And you could see why.

The biggest announcement of the night? The flagships project for 2026: LIGHT UP AJOSE ARILESOLA COMMUNITY. An ambitious plan to light up the streets and make everyone safe at night. The 2026 calendar was also launched amidst cheers. It was a night of awards, celebrations, and serious promises. Ajose Arilesola CDA is building something real. And honestly? It’s working.
