FG Tells 3,598 Workers: Show Up or Lose Your Job—Fresh Verification Starts Soon

It’s crunch time for thousands of civil servants. The Federal Civil Service Commission isn’t playing around. Missed the 2021 verification? You’ve got one more shot. But if you skip it again, you might be out of a job. For real.
The numbers are big. 3,598 workers. That’s a lot of people. Ministries everywhere—Agriculture, Defence, Education, Works, Information, Aviation, and more. All eyes on them now.
The new verification runs from August 18 to August 28, 2025. Just a few days. Not much time. The message is clear: show up, or you’re gone. The Commission says, if you don’t come, they’ll just assume your appointment letter is fake. No more excuses.
There’s a list. Names are up on the Commission’s website, the Head of Service site, and ministry notice boards. If your name’s there, you better get moving.
And don’t come empty-handed. Bring your original and photocopy of appointment and promotion letters, gazette of appointment, confirmation, staff change letter, and your July 2025 IPPIS payslip. No document, no verification.
The Commission’s not joking. “No more extensions,” the notice says. “If you don’t show, you’re probably hiding something.” Even if you’re on study leave or posted somewhere else, you still have to check.
Some ministries have more people on the list than others. Information leads with 592. Education’s got 506. Labour, 440. The rest—Works, Industry, Health, Environment, Interior, Defence, and the Secretary to the Government’s office—have their own numbers too.
So, if you’re on that list, better get your papers ready. This might be your last chance. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
