Premier League’s New TV Deal: What You Need to Know

Big news from December 2023. The Premier League sealed a massive £6.7 billion TV deal. Sky and TNT are the big winners, set to show up to 270 live games each season. And don’t worry, the BBC’s still got your highlights covered on Match of the Day.
This deal kicks off in the 2025-26 season and runs for four years. It’s being called the biggest sports media rights deal ever in the UK. Yeah, that’s huge.
The famous Saturday 3pm blackout? Still on. But here’s a win: every 2pm Sunday kick-off will be on TV. So, more football for your weekend.
Sky grabbed four out of five packages. They’ll show at least 215 matches a season — that’s a big jump from 128 last season. Expect Saturday 5.30pm games, Sunday 2pm and 4.30pm kick-offs, plus Monday and Friday night matches, and three midweek rounds.
TNT’s got at least 52 matches, including all the 12.30pm Saturday games and two midweek rounds.
And for the grand finale? Sky Sports will broadcast all 10 matches on the final day of the season. So, plenty of football to look forward to.
