Brymo’s Fiery Call-Out: “Quit Hogging Those Remixes!” to Burna Boy, Davido & Crew

By: Akinde S. Oluwaseun

Imagine this. Brymo, that bold, no-nonsense singer who’s always marching to his own beat, he’s had enough. He’s calling out the big shots—Burna Boy, Davido, and the rest of those A-list stars. Stop jumping on every hot track for a remix, he says. Especially when it’s from some fresh-faced newcomer blowing up.

It’s all a front, according to him. These top dogs act like they’re lending a hand, helping the newbies hit bigger crowds. But nah. Brymo sees through it. They’re just riding the wave to stay in the spotlight, clinging to that relevance. Vile, he calls it.

He laid it out on his Instagram story, straight up: “Dear Nigerian mainstream ‘A-listers,’ Burna [Boy], Davido and Co, stop jumping on every hit song in a remix, especially releases by newer acts. Let other artistes find their own way. The pretending to be helping them reach higher is a ridiculous watch. Stop seeking relevance in the efforts of ones who know little about the business. It’s vile!”

Short and sharp. Fans are buzzing now. Some agree, yeah let the young ones shine on their own. Others defend the collabs as just good business. What’s the real deal here. You tell me.
