Trump rushed off stage at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night in DC. Shots fired. Chaos for a split second. Then Secret Service hauled him out immediately.

He’s safe. Vice President JD Vance and all Cabinet members are unharmed, sources says.

Trump hopped on social media not long after: “The shooter has been apprehended.” He commended law enforcement for acting “quickly and bravely” — you can tell he’s genuinely grateful for their speed.

As CNN reported, the dinner was in full swing when gunshots was heard just a few feet away from the venue. Cops didn’t waste a second; they ushered him to a secure spot right before things could escalate.

The press association’s president just announced the dinner program will resume soon. Here’s the latest: Trump was taken to a locked-down location, and he’s begging to go back to the dinner. But Secret Service won’t let him, per administration officials.
